May 28, 2009:Expedia.com said Wednesday it will stop charging fees when customers book airline tickets over the Internet, upping the ante in the competition among online travel agencies.

March 17, 2009 Travelocity.com is expected to announce Tuesday that it will eliminate its booking fees on airline tickets sold through May 31, matching a move last week by competitor Expedia.com.
